It’s about time there was an new feature-length film from one of the masters of horror James Wan – and here you have it – say hello to Malignant!

Malignant is the latest creation from the Conjuring universe architect and this is a return to his roots with an original horror thriller.

The premise sounds pretty cool too!

Madison is the lead character, and she is paralysed by shocking visions of grisly murders.

But then in one of Wan’s much-used twists, her visions turn out to be real.

This film stars Annabelle Wallis, Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, Jacqueline McKenzie, Jake Abel and Ingrid Bisu.

James Wan directs Malignant from a screenplay by Akela Cooper with the story by Wan and Ingrid Bisu and Cooper. 

Produced by Wan and Michael Clear, Eric McLeod, Judson Scott, Bisu, Peter Luo, Cheng Yang, Mandy Yu and Lei Han are executive producers.

Malignant is going to be out in Australian cinemas on 21 October 2021 and after reading this, we can’t wait!

About James Wan: An Australian film director, screenwriter, producer, and comic book writer.

He works primarily worked in the horror genre as the co-creator of the Saw and Insidious franchises.

He was the creator of The Conjuring Universe.

And that franchise is the second highest-grossing horror franchise ever at over $2 billion.
