  • The Dark Alchemy Expo is Melbourne's curated market celebrating dark art, folklore, witchcraft, gothic culture, horror and the beautifully unconventional. Discover more than 55 carefully selected creators from across Victoria, alongside immersive workshops and one-of-a-kind handmade treasures.

  • Coburg Town Hall
    90 Bell Street, Coburg VIC

    The venue is easily accessible by public transport and is surrounded by nearby parking.

  • Adults: $10

    Concession: $8

    Children (5–18): $5

    Children under 5: Free

    Companion Cards can be shown at the door.

    Tickets are available online through TryBooking.

  • Entry times help us manage visitor numbers and provide everyone with the best experience possible.

    Simply arrive any time within your selected entry window to have your ticket scanned. Once you're inside, you're welcome to stay as long as you like.

  • Yes. Concession tickets are available for eligible card holders.

    Please have your valid concession card ready to present at the door when your ticket is scanned to help avoid delays.

    Companion Card holders are admitted free when accompanying a valid ticket holder. Please have your Companion Card available on arrival.

  • Yes. There is ample street parking surrounding Coburg Town Hall, along with nearby public car parks. We recommend allowing a little extra time to find a space during busy periods.

    Whether you're gothic, Victorian, witchy, horror-inspired or simply dressing to express yourself, we encourage visitors to embrace the atmosphere.

    Take part in immersive workshops throughout the day, including spellcasting and traditional corn doll making.

    Workshop places are limited and should be booked in advance through the main ticketing link.

  • Choose your preferred workshop when booking your ticket and arrive 30 minutes before your session begins.

    After your workshop, you're free to explore the expo for as long as you like.

  • Yes.

    Woking Amazing, Bilbo Snagginz and Bean Brewed will be on site throughout the day, so you can relax and make a full day of your visit.

  • Coburg Town Hall is an accessible venue.

    If you have specific accessibility questions, please contact us before the event and we'll be happy to help.

  • Yes. While we don’t have capacity for a dedicated sensory hour, we've made every effort to create a calm and welcoming environment. Background music will be kept to a minimum and there will be no loud performances throughout the day.

    If you need some time away from the crowds, there is a quieter space located between the Main Hall and the Secondary Hall, adjacent to the accessibility ramps, where you can take a moment to recharge.

    You're also welcome to step outside to the garden at the front of Coburg Town Hall, where you'll find a more peaceful place to rest. Simply ask for a hand stamp before leaving and you can re-enter the Expo whenever you're ready.

  • Only registered assistance animals are permitted inside the venue.

  • Yes.

    While the Expo explores dark art, folklore and gothic culture, it is a welcoming, family-friendly event. Parents should use their discretion with younger children around horror-themed artwork.

  • Prams and strollers are welcome.

    Please note that the Expo may become very busy throughout the day, and some areas of the venue may be crowded, making it a little more difficult to navigate with a pram during peak periods. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Bus

    Two-minute walk from Bus Route 513 and others at the stop on Bell Street.

    Train

    Ten-minute walk from Coburg train station on the Upfield train line.
